The First International Conference on Sustainable Synergies: Waste, Water, and Energy for a Greener Future (SSWWE 2025) builds on the success of SRWWE, the national edition, now expanding to a global stage. This conference brings together experts to explore waste assessment and valorization, water treatment, renewable energy and energy efficiency, and environment and material degradation, fostering collaboration for a more sustainable future. Prof. Abdel-Hamid I. Mourad

United Arab Emirates University (UAEU)

A distinguished professor in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at the (UAEU). His research has resulted in more than 200 referred and peer-reviewed international journal articles and conference papers. According to ResearchGate, he has 328 publications, 6,403 citations, and an h-index of 37. The AD Scientific Index 2025 reports an h-index of 47 with 8,261 citations. He has been recognized among the World's Top 2% Scientists by Stanford University and received the UAE University Award for Excellence in Scholarship for the academic year 2020-2021. Prof. Mourad serves as Editor-in-Chief of the Emirates Journal for Engineering Research (EJER) and is a member of the Mohammed bin Rashid Academy of Scientists (MBRAS).

Prof. Abdeltif Amrane

Institute of Chemical Sciences of Rennes, France

A full Professor at the University of Rennes 1. (Google Scholar: h-index: 41; citations: 6289 // Web of Science: h-index: 32; citations: 4106). Since approximately 13 years his research is entirely devoted to the development of combined processes for the removal of organic pollutants in effluent wastewaters and gaseous emissions within the CIP team. He has managed 9 PhD theses as thesis director and 3 are in progress; he has also co-managed 6 PhD theses and 2 co-management theses are in progress. He has been involved in several projects as a manager or a participant, as well in international collaborations (Algeria, Belgium, Hungary, Iran, Lebanon, Mexico, Morocco, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Spain, Tunisia). He has published about 330 international papers including 17 papers in press. He has also published 12 chapter books and has about 130 international and 20 national oral communications.

Prof. Dr. Yogendra Kumar Mishra

University of Southern Denmark (SDU)

A Professor at (SDU) and head of the Smart Materials Group, specializing in functional nanomaterials such as porous 3D networks, flexible ceramics, and nanofibers, with applications in sensors, biomaterials, and energy storage. His research has garnered over 22,200 citations, with an h-index of 78 and an i10-index of 294 (Google Scholar). He has supervised numerous Ph.D. students and postdoctoral researchers and has been honored as a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry (FRSC), UK, along with several other awards. Prof. Mishra serves on the editorial boards of leading journals, including Nano Energy and Materials Today Chemistry.

Prof. Dr. Hakim Lounici is a distinguished Professor in the Department of Process and Environmental Engineering at Bouira University and serves as a researcher at the National Polytechnic School of Algiers. His research focuses on environmental chemistry, analytical chemistry, and green chemistry, particularly in water and wastewater treatment, environmental remediation, and solid waste management. According to Google Scholar, Prof. Lounici has an h-index of 40 with over 7,825 citations, reflecting the significant impact of his work in the scientific community. A Full Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Université 20 Août 1955-Skikda, Algeria. He holds a Ph.D. and Habilitation in Mechanical Engineering and Materials. His research interests include the mechanics of materials, fatigue of biocomposite materials, bio and nano-materials, and composite materials design and manufacturing. Prof. Belaadi has authored over 125 publications, accumulating more than 2,088 citations with an h-index of 23. He has served as a guest advisor for the Journal of Natural Fibers. Additionally, Prof. Belaadi has contributed to organizing international conferences, such as the 1st International Conference on Industrial Processes and Environmental Conservation (CISPICE'2021). ​

Prof. Dr. Omar Bouras is a Principal Investigator and Professor in the Process Engineering Department at the University of Blida, specializing in adsorption processes, wastewater treatment, and the development of hybrid porous materials. He has authored over 52 scientific publications and his research has been cited more than 1,589 times, with a Google Scholar h-index of 21. His work focuses on modifying inorganic and organic materials for environmental applications, particularly pollutant removal. Participants whose abstracts were accepted can submit their full research papers for peer review.

Notification of Paper Acceptance

Final confirmation of accepted full papers, which will be included in the conference proceedings.
